It goes without saying, yet we’ll say it anyway, 2020 was hard. We saw social gatherings and international travel vanish from our lives, so of course industry awards were hosted virtually. Although, despite the adversity, DDB Aotearoa still managed to add a swathe of accolades to our ever-growing list. We were named NZ's Digital Agency of the Year, NZ & AU Social Media Agency of the Year, and Best PR Agency in NZ by Campaign Asia-Pacific
Not to mention being awarded the prestigious Agency of the Year by Axis, Effie’s, and AWARD. And to top it all off, one of our most successful campaigns, Lotto “LO5T”, was awarded a Wood Pencil at D&AD. You’ll find the coveted pencil strategically stationed on Damon’s desk, right in the middle of the creative department.
And in 2021, we aren’t slowing down. Already, DDB Aotearoa has been named Spikes Asia Agency of the Year, thanks in no small part to “Sperm Positive” winning the Grand Prix for Good. We’re particularly proud of this one, for not just growing businesses, but making hugely influential change in the lives of those who need it most. And, right afterwards, Axis awarded us Agency of the Year for a second year in a row. How’s that for momentum?
